*  born   [ bɔrn ]          出生
*  borne  [ bɔrn ]        生出(小孩）、帶(菌)原
(這二個單字都是bear的過去分詞；born只用於被動式；其他皆用borne)

I was born in 1953.
我出生於1953年。

She has borne five daughters.
她生了五個女兒。

*  breath   [ brɛθ ]        (n.)  呼吸
*  breathe  [ brið ]        (v.)  呼吸

He breathes deeply.
他深呼吸著。

*  bread    [ brɛd ]         (n.)  麵包
*  breadth  [ brɛdθ ]     (n.)  寬度、寬容、博大、寬廣

Peace alone could not bring bread to the masses.
只有和平並不能給大眾帶來必需的食品。

A teacher must have a breadth of knowledge.
老師必須學問淵博。

*  bring   [ brɪŋ ]         (v.)  拿來
*  take    [ tek ]           (v.)  拿走

*  bought   [ bɔt ]         買 (buy的過去式)
*  brought  [ brɔt ]        帶來(bring的過去式)

Tiffany bought a lot of shoes in Malaysia.
Tiffany在馬來西亞買了很多的鞋子。

She brought me a pair of shoes.
她給我帶來一雙鞋子。
