supplies和surprise的發音主要的差別在於/l/和/r/的不同
如何正確的發音，/l/和/r/教學影片請按下列音標：
如何正確的拼音：
英文的音標和中文用注音符號拼音的原理是一樣的；
先把每一個子音和母音/s/ə/ɝ/p/aɪ/l//r/z/的發音學準確後，
再按著下列順序去拼
supplies /ai/ -> /lai/ -> /plai/ -> /plaiz/ -> /sə'plaɪz/
surprise /ai/ -> /rai/ -> /prai/ -> /praiz/ -> /sɝ'praɪz/

Hey! How’s everybody doing tonight? Today, I’m going to tell you the supply joke.
嗨! 大家今天晚上怎麼樣? 今天我要跟各位說一個supply的笑話。
So, it all started like this. You’re sitting on the plane.
Resting, drinking, eating, trying to get to your destination; thinking about Florida.
And all of the sudden, turbulence!
Oh no, turbulence. Everybody’s so scared.
What are you going to do? And then, the plane crashed on an island.
事情是這樣開始的。你坐在飛機上。
休息、喝飲料、吃東西、想到要抵達目的地、想著佛羅里達。
突然，亂流！喔！糟了！亂流！大家都好害怕。
你要怎麼辦？然後，飛機墜落在一個小島上。
And there is [are] only three survivors; an American, German, and an Asian.
只有三位生還者；一位美國人、(一位)德國人和一位亞洲人。
The night was getting darker and darker; there’s wind blowing stronger and stronger, getting colder and colder. And there is [are] cougars about to eat everybody!
夜愈來愈黑、風愈吹愈大、天愈來愈冷。還有美洲豹準備出來吃人！
So, the American took charge and said, “Hey! big German guy with the belly, quit drinking your beer! Go to the woods and see if you can find more survivors.
Hey! you, little Asian guy, go see if you can find any supplies.
I’m going to see if there is [are] any villages around here, all right. Let’s be back here in one hour. All right, let’s go.
美國人當老大了：嘿！那個大肚子德國佬，別喝啤酒了！
去樹林裡找找看有沒有更多生還者。
嘿！你，亞洲小個子，去看看能不能找到一些補給品。
我去看看這附近有沒有村落，
好了。 我們大概一小時後回來。
好了，走吧！
So an hour has passed by. An hour and a minute… the American showed up.
An hour and five minutes, the German showed up.
一小時過了。一小時一分鐘...美國人出現了。一小時五分鐘...德國人出現了。
And the American asked, “Did you find any survivors?”
美國人問： 你找到生還者了嗎?
The German guy is like, “No, seems like we’re pretty much doomed. We’re the only survivors here.”
德國人說：沒有，看起來我們完蛋啦。我們是這裡僅有的生還者。
They got worried. They were talking a little bit. And then an hour and half an hour passed by...
他們開始擔心了。他們聊了一下。一個半小時過去了...
“Where is the Asian kid? Where is the Asian kid?”
They thought maybe he just got lost, maybe he just got lost.
And then, another half an hour passed....
｢亞洲小老弟呢? 那個亞洲小老弟在哪裡?｣ 他們以為他只是迷路了，可能只是他迷路了。
然而，又過了半小時....
They were like, “Oh no, did the Asian kid get killed?
Did he get eaten by the cougars? The cougars, did they get him?”
他們說 ：不，亞洲小老弟是不是被殺了? 是不是被美洲豹吃掉了?那些美洲豹把他吃了？
And at this time, the Asian ran. He ran. He ran as fast as he could.
就在這個時候，亞洲人跑出來...他用他吃奶的力氣跑。
And he jumped out and said, “surprise! I bring to you surprise!”
他跳出來：驚訝! 我帶給你們驚訝！
The American is like, “Huh?”
美國人說： ｢嗯?｣
The Asian is like, “Surprise? I bring to you surprise.”
亞洲人說： 驚訝! 我帶給你们驚訝ㄚ！
The American is like, “What are you talking about, man?
I want you to bring me supplies, not bring me surprise.”
美國人說：你在說什麼ㄚ，老兄?
我要你帶給我supplies(補給品)，不是surprise(驚訝)。
“Oh, but, surprise (supplies)?”
喔， 但是驚訝(補給品)?
So, this is a warning for everybody. Do not get mixed up with supplies and surprise.
這是給大家一個警惕。不要把supplies和surprise混淆了。
