Chris: Hi kids! Welcome to CDC Kidtastics Radio! I'm Chris Kidtastic. Today, we’re going to talk about novel H1N1 flu!

Kidtastics: What?!?!
什麼?!?!
Chris: Novel H1N1 flu. You might have heard it called swine flu. It's been in the news a lot.
新型H1N1流感。您可能聽說過它被稱為豬流感。它在新聞中已經播報很多了。
Kidtastics: Oh yeah!
噢，是的！
Chris: It's a new flu virus and it's contagious!
它是一個新型流感病毒，而且它有傳染性！
Karmen: What do you mean "contagious"?
你說的“傳染性”是什麼意思？(註：小孩子認識的字並不多，隨時都在學新字， 這也就是我們不斷地強調，光背單字是沒有什麼用的原因 - 單字必需經由聽說讀寫中去學習)
Chris： This kind of flu spreads easily from one person to another. When somebody has it and coughs or sneezes, the germs get into the air and can make other people sick. Ewwwww! Or, if you touch something with flu germs on it and then touch your eyes, nose, or mouth, you can catch it too.
這種流感很容易從一個人傳播到另一個人。當有一個人得到了它、咳嗽或打噴嚏，細菌進入空氣，就可以使其他的人生病。 Ewwwww！或者，如果你碰到沾有流感細菌的東西，然後觸摸你的眼睛、鼻子或嘴巴，你也會得到它。
Caydan： I don't like being sick!

Chris: Me either! So here are four things you can do to help keep from getting any kind of flu, including novel H1N1 flu.

Kidtastics：One!

Chris: We've talked about this on Kidtastics before: wash your hands a lot with soap and water for at least 20 seconds - long enough to sing the 'Happy Birthday' song twice.

Chris: Rinse your hands and dry them really well with a clean towel or air dryer.

Karmen: And don't dry them on your clothes.

Chris: Right! And what if there isn't any soap and water, like at the park?

Caydan: Use an alcohol-based hand cleaner.

Chris: Right, again! Just squirt it on your hands and rub them together until they're dry.

Kidtastics：Two!

Chris: Always use a tissue when you cough or sneeze. And make sure you throw your tissue in the trash as soon as you use it.
你一定要使用衛生紙咳嗽或打噴嚏。而且用了之後，一定要立刻將你的衛生紙扔入垃圾桶中。
Karmen: But Chris, what if I don't have any tissues?
但是Chris，如果我沒有任何衛生紙怎麼辦？
Chris: If you don't have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your elbow or shoulder; not into your hands.
如果你沒有衛生紙，咳嗽或噴嚏在你的手肘或肩膀裡，不要在你的手中。
Kidtastics: Three!
三！
Chris: Try to stay away from people who are sick. They'll understand. You really don't want to get sick with the flu!
儘量遠離生病的人。他們會理解的。你真的是不想得到流感而生病！
Kidtastics: Four!
四！
Chris: If you're sneezing or coughing or if you just don't feel well, tell an adult right away. If you do have the flu, you might have to stay home for a while so you don't make other people sick.
如果你有打噴嚏或咳嗽、或者你只是覺得不舒服，馬上告訴一位成年人。如果你確實得到了流感，你應該留在家中一段時間，如此你才不會讓其他的人生病。
Kidtastics: Okay!

Chris: Now you know what to do to help stay away from the flu. Tell everyone you know! Remember, spread the word, not the germs!
